Rogers Carlisle’s Round Lake goose hunt ends at the Welke farm (1961)¶
The December 1961 game column describes Rogers Carlisle hunting blue geese near the northeast end of Round Lake. After one bird was shot and the flock flew toward the Welke farm, a bird fell just over the fence from Don Welke’s home.
