Summary
The 1963 Beaver Beacon published a staged seasonal schedule for the ferry Beaver Islander. March announced daily service from June 15 through September 22. April listed limited spring service, and June reported daily service from June 15, two trips on Fridays through Sundays beginning June 29, and a 9 a.m. departure from Charlevoix.
Evidence and limits
These are published service announcements, not a complete surviving timetable or operating log. The issue dates preserve changing schedule stages, and the June notice gives a September 15 end date rather than the September 22 date in the March announcement.
Open questions
- Can ferry logs or tickets establish which announced schedule was actually operated?
- Why did the June and March end dates differ?
