The Beaver Island Trails Committee solicited volunteers to plant 1,000 certified native beach-grass plugs along the dunes at Iron Ore Creek after the culvert was replaced. A same-day follow-up said that help was still welcome as the weather improved.
Evidence limits
The forum announcement and follow-up establish the restoration effort and its intended scale, but do not prove that all 1,000 plugs were planted or describe the later condition of the dunes.
