Summary
The May 1963 Beaver Beacon describes several St. James improvements. The remains of Wogan’s old sawmill and house were being removed, the school board had requested bids to remove the old school behind the new one, a new Holy Cross rectory was planned between the church and Medical Center, and Conservation Officer Vernon Fitzpatrick had planted trees in town.
Evidence and limits
The notice combines completed removal, a bidding process, a building plan, and a planting effort. It does not establish contracts, final demolition, rectory construction, or the later condition of the townscape.
