A large, horizontally oriented nautical chart uses tan, green, and blue areas to depict coastlines and shallow water. The water is covered with numerous depth soundings, navigation lines, grid lines, compass roses, and other maritime symbols. Several inset harbor plans, explanatory notes, tables, and a large title block appear around the main chart.
