An engraved map fills the image, showing coastlines, rivers, waterways, settlements, regional boundaries, latitude and longitude lines, and a compass rose. A decorative cartouche with foliage and a seated figure occupies the upper-left corner. Numerous place names and other labels are printed across the map.
