A sepia-toned street scene shows a wide unpaved road extending into the distance. A plank sidewalk runs beside wooden buildings on the right, including a large two-story building with a porch and bench. Several people stand along the sidewalk and farther down the road, with a horse-drawn vehicle visible in the distance.

The catalogue identifies this as a circa 1914 Edward L. Beebe postcard and reports the title as “Street View, St. James, Mich.” It also identifies buildings formerly known as The Old Shillelagh and the Vernon LaFreniere store, and a location later occupied by the Beachcomber Bar.
