Archaeology at Protar's Home Uncovering a Homestead In 2016 and 2018 NMU conducted archaeological shovel tests and excavations at the property. During the summer of 2016 a small shovel probe survey was conducted in the front yard. In 2018, teams excavated two privies and documented the surface remnants of the farmstead.
