Why this archive publishes it. Beaver Beacon site and photo gallery. The gallery's notice conditions COMMERCIAL use on written permission and says nothing about any other use; this archive is non-commercial, so that condition is met. Credit and a link to the photo's own gallery page accompany every item. The gallery is also no longer maintained — its newest upload is dated 2019-05-26 and the site footer stops at 2010 — which is the case for preserving it rather than an argument that its terms lapsed. Removal on request, from the Beacon or from any photographer.

Material goes off the web without anyone deciding that it should: a host lapses, a gallery is retired, a link stops resolving. Holding a copy — with its provenance, its checksum and its holder's terms recorded beside it — is much of why this archive exists.
