Summary
For the fiftieth anniversary of Pearl Harbor, the December 1991 Beaver Beacon republished Archie LaFreniere’s August 8, 1945 letter from Tokyo Bay. The letter describes his movements through Okinawa, the Philippines, and Japan near the end of World War II and his messages to family on Beaver Island.
