Summary
The April 1975 Beaver Beacon reports that Beaver Island’s baseball program organized in April. Jim Janda was manager; Carol Gatliff secretary; Patty Wojan treasurer; Mike Green groundskeeper; and Jim Wojan, Jim McDonough, and Mary Gillespie represented the boys’ and girls’ teams. Jim Janda and Ron Wojan were to schedule games. The Beachcombers were the traveling team, while Wojan Construction, the Shamrock, and McDonough’s Market sponsored local teams. On April 27, workers finished and painted the field fence.
