Summary
In July and August 2017, a Beaver Island forum campaign called attention to the reported deterioration of Beaver Head Lighthouse and sought letters to the State Historic Preservation Office and federal representatives. Participants also discussed uncertainty about ownership and maintenance responsibility.
Evidence limits
The forum establishes a local preservation campaign and the concerns expressed by participants. It does not independently establish the easement’s terms, the amount or use of any grant, the legal owner, or the condition of every building.
