Summary
The Beaver Island Rural Health Center hosted a summer program of volunteer family-medicine and emergency-medicine physicians from the University of Michigan beginning June 3, 2012. The visitors observed rural medical services and shared knowledge in areas including women’s health, prenatal care, wounds, strokes, diabetes, and pediatric and adolescent care.
