Summary

The Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce adopted 2003 Citizen of the Year criteria for recognizing a person, couple, organization, or business that improved Island life, work, or visitation. Nominations were due March 21, and the March issue reported that banquet tickets were on sale for the April 12 event at the Shamrock. The Chamber also reported that its 2003 Visitor and Business Directory had grown from 20 to 24 pages as membership increased.

This is an announcement of the criteria and schedule, not the eventual award selection.
