At its March 1, 2011 meeting, St. James Township discussed deteriorated community septic tanks along Donegal Bay Road. The Beacon reported that sewer gas had damaged the concrete after ten years and that coating both tanks could cost about $60,000, require a bond, and lead to higher usage rates.
