Summary
The December 20, 1990 Beaver Beacon reported that 62 letters had been submitted to Charlevoix County Commissioners supporting a full-time paid deputy sheriff position for Jim Owens. The notice also thanked County Commissioner Don Smith for supporting Beaver Island during the King’s Highway dispute and the deputy campaign.
