Summary
The October 1962 Beaver Beacon reports plentiful partridge and favorable duck hunting prospects, with geese heard or seen on the Island. It also says the perch were not running again that year and advises that partridge hunting would improve later in October as foliage thinned.
Evidence and limits
This preserves the Game Club’s newspaper account and advice. It is not an independent wildlife survey or a verified explanation for the perch report.
