Summary
The Beaver Island Garbology Group’s February 1990 update described recycling, compaction and transfer of residual waste, and eventual closure and capping of the old dump as a linked system targeted for implementation by fall 1991. It also gave residents preparation steps for source separation, toxic-waste handling, composting, and reduced packaging.
