Summary

St. James Harbor underwent a connected set of improvements during the 1965 season. The old Beaver Islander freight shed was removed, a replacement shed was planned, new private and commercial docks were being piled, the old mill dock was being revived as Beaver Haven Marina, and the Yacht Dock addition advanced from active construction toward near completion.

Evidence and limits

The four local reports distinguish completed removal from planned or ongoing work. They do not supply contracts, permits, final dimensions, dredging records, or a completion inspection for each project.

Open questions

  • When was the Yacht Dock addition completed and accepted?
  • What legal, engineering, or ownership records document the new docks and the Beaver Haven Marina project?
