Summary

Beaver Island high-school students were reported learning square dancing each Wednesday in January 1975. By March, the Beacon described a revival in which younger children danced on Wednesdays and high-school students and adults participated on Fridays. Rita Gillespie started the activity; Jewell Gillespie and Edward Palmer supplied music, and Puss Green and Bill Wagner called.

Evidence and limits

These are community notices, not a class register, curriculum, attendance record, or proof of operation after the March report.
