Summary
In September and October 2003, Beaver Island Forum participants discussed the online presentation of Historical Society photographs. They warned that some identifications of people and places appeared inaccurate or overly whimsical, and offered to help improve captions. A later reply offered identification help for photographs attributed to Helen Collar.
Evidence limits
This is a preservation and historiography discussion, not proof that the captions were corrected. The thread does not establish the provenance, copyright, or final catalog record for any individual image.
