Summary
The Beaver Island Historical Society held its Print Shop benefit at Parish Hall on September 5, 1964. The August issue announced the party as an extraordinary event intended to clear the contract, receive the deed, and burn the mortgage; it advertised games, a Zenith television drawing, and a transistor-radio door prize. The September follow-up reported the benefit as successful, the paid-up contract burned, and prizes awarded.
Evidence and limits
The newspaper follow-up supports the reported fund-raising result. It does not replace the deed, mortgage release, receipts, or a title search for the Mormon Print Shop.
