Summary

A September 2020 Beaver Island Forum notice sought the return of an inscribed copy of Ramon Nelson’s Island Life, Island Toil: The House of David on High Island. A later update said a replacement copy had been purchased and the original was returned in September 2022.

Pam identified the missing book as Ramon Nelson’s *Island Life, Island Toil: The House of David on High Island*, a gift inscribed by her mother. In a September 2022 update preserved in the thread, she said she had purchased another copy and that the inscribed original had been returned. The thread documents a personal custody history and the book’s local significance, not the book’s contents or proof of the circumstances of its return.
