Summary
Terry and Bev Scully placed most of Deerwood—reported as 173 acres of beach, Barney’s Lake frontage, forest, dunes, and habitat—under a restrictive conservation easement held through the Little Traverse Conservancy Conservation Trust. The Beacon said the easement terminated development rights while retaining title for the Scullys and preserving public access along the Kuebler Trail. The Board of Review later settled the related property-tax issue in the Scullys’ favor.
