Summary
The Beacon reprinted a feature about John “Johnny White” Gallagher, a Beaver Island-connected Irish immigrant and chief engineer aboard the Henry B. Smith, which sank outside Marquette on November 9, 1913. Gallagher’s body was found on Michipicoten Island six months later.
