Summary
The June 1969 Beaver Beacon reported five deaths with Beaver Island connections: Neal Gallagher, Alfred Pratt, O. D. “Mack” McClintic, Edward Boyle, and Tellis O’Brien. The notices preserve Island birth, residence, family, maritime, and property connections, including O’Brien’s June 26 Holy Cross Cemetery burial. The July issue expanded the McClintic notice with his June 16 death and Battle Creek funeral details. The August issue printed the Twining family’s thank-you for help surrounding Tellis O’Brien’s death and burial.
