Summary
After eleven months and more than 400 donated hours, Karl Bartels returned a restored Kahlenberg engine to Beaver Island in late September 2006. The five- ton engine was placed in the Heritage Park barn pending a decision about displaying it in or beside the Bob S.
Evidence limits
The report documents restoration and interim placement, not a final exhibit installation or a complete provenance record for the engine.
