Summary
The April 1999 Beaver Beacon reported March lake levels about two inches below the long-term March average and forecast the August 1999 mean level at about twelve inches below August 1998.
The May 1999 issue reports Michigan–Huron levels about five inches below the long-term March average and 35 inches below the March 1986 all-time high. It forecasts a September level eight inches below the long-term average and about 13 inches below September 1998.
