Summary

The July 1988 Beaver Beacon profiles Louis and Frances Schaul, Cleveland pilots who found Beaver Island through a Great Lakes article, bought the south-end “Chicken Coop” in 1985, and renovated it as a summer home. Frances also operated a Fourth of July T-shirt booth.

Evidence limits

This is a seasonal-resident profile, not a deed, aviation record, or complete renovation history.
