Summary
In June 2019, the Beaver Island District Library announced an NEA Big Read grant for a community program centered on Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, under the theme “Our Town, Our Island.” The planned May 2020 program included a performance, book discussions, genealogy workshops, organization and musician events, and a graveyard walk. A March 2020 notice postponed the events because of the pandemic.
