Summary
The February 2011 Beacon reprinted February 1911 items from the Charlevoix Courier and Charlevoix Sentinel, supplemented by Frank Protar diary notes. The column covers a destructive mill fire, winter mail attempts, ice fishing and perch shipments, the planned Fox Islands mail route, and the mail steamer Beaver.
Evidence limits
This is a later newspaper republication of earlier newspaper and diary material. It is a useful pointer to those sources, not a substitute for the original issues or a complete February 1911 register.
