Summary
The June 2009 Beacon reprinted June 1909 reports on the steamer Beaver, fish stocking and pound-net fishing, commercial-fishing licenses, visitors, and a rescue after nine-year-olds Kenneth Gallagher and Bertrand McDonough were carried offshore on a raft during a gale. The tug Violet effected the rescue.
