Summary
The March 2011 Beacon retrospective reprints March 1911 reports about the fish tug Lillie K., the steamer Beaver, lake ice, and Protar’s weather observations. The historical notices say the Robert Beutel Company bought the tug to replace the lost Violet and that Captain Ed. Martin brought the Lillie K. from Manistique.
Evidence limits
This record documents the 2011 retrospective and its quoted historical material; it is not an independent 1911 newspaper or vessel registry.
