Summary
The October 2002 Beaver Beacon reprinted October 1902 Charlevoix Sentinel notices about shipping and island development: the Lou A. Cummings’ broken cylinder at Beaver Harbor, U.S. Fish Commission spawn-gathering preparations, local commerce, and a proposed narrow-gauge railroad from a newly acquired sawmill toward the interior.
Evidence limits
This is a later historical reprint. The railroad item records a proposal, not proof that the line was built, and the original Sentinel issues are not held in this article.
