Summary

The September 2011 Beacon reprints September 1911 reports from the Charlevoix Courier and Charlevoix Sentinel, supplemented by F. Protar diary notes. The material covers births and visitors, the Margaret McCann’s trip for rebuilding, a resident physician, the lighthouse tender Sumac, school opening, shipping and lumber, a wrestling exhibition, and the birth of Lester Connaghan above Anthony Malloy’s meat market.

Evidence limits

This is a retrospective compilation. Spellings marked “sic” and editorial notes in the issue are preserved as source features rather than silently normalized.
