Summary

The December 2000 Beaver Beacon reported that Beaver Island’s earlier oral- history project was being reinstituted and expanded. Robert Cole’s plan called for recording about twenty elders, obtaining grants for digital equipment, duplicating recovered audio, video, and transcript materials, and making the collection accessible through the Print Shop Museum.

Evidence limits

This records the project proposal and fundraising appeal, not completed interviews, grant awards, or a finished public archive.
