Summary
In spring 2021, St. James and Peaine Townships promoted the Picking Up Paradise (PUP) Initiative, an island-wide cleanup project connected by the flyer to a Beaver Island Master Plan priority. The program offered several Transfer Station disposal and recycling windows, including wood brush, household hazardous waste, tires, scrap metal, and large metal items or titled cars.
