Eleven quilters from western lower Michigan spent a week on Beaver Island in mid-September. They worked at four tables for as much as eight hours a day, mixed sewing sessions with bicycle and kayak outings, and completed projects that included work for charity. The article says the group left as eleven friends and that many planned to return.
