On May 5, 1961, Tony McDonough, Irwin Martin, and Larry McDonough were reported to have left with Bud McDonough for a class trip through Grand Rapids, Chicago, Wisconsin, and the Soo, including a planned Comiskey Park doubleheader and air base tour.
