Summary

The August 1964 Beaver Beacon reported several Beaver Island-connected military leaves. Joseph W. LaFreniere visited his mother Elizabeth on a 30-day leave and was then sent to Greece; Isabel LaFreniere had a 15-day leave before returning to South Carolina; and Jerry LaFreniere visited Musette and Vernon LaFreniere before returning to Fort Story, Virginia. The notice also said Brian Gallagher and Richard Ryan were home on leave, identifying Ryan as Dorothy and Art Ryan’s son and Lawrence Malloy’s grandson.

Evidence and limits

This is a community notice, not a military personnel file. The printed APO address and family relationships are preserved as source evidence, without independent service, deployment, or identity records.
