Summary
On February 9, 1969, eleven snowmobiles carried roughly twice as many Islanders from LaFreniere’s Store through Lake Geneserath and the East Side Road to the south end. The group traveled past the lighthouse to Iron Ore Bay and Cheyenne Point, observed deer and winter browse, cut cedar trees, placed mineral blocks, and returned to a meal at the fishing site.
