Summary

The July Beacon first reported Pat McGinnity’s Army Scholar-Athlete recognition for classroom and athletic excellence. The August issue expanded the student achievement report to include Jeff Cashman’s Lawrence Tech freshman award and other scholarships, degrees, internships, and university studies for Beaver Island students and alumni. A September correction adds Shawna Smith’s Baker College studies and Mary Jane Martin’s travel-and-tourism certificate.
