Summary

The November 1976 Beaver Beacon explained the December 1 annual tax bills for Peaine and St. James Townships and printed the millage distribution for county, township, airport, roads, the Beaver Island Community School, and the intermediate-school district. The printed grand totals were $84,404.04 for Peaine at 26.70 mills and $82,309.06 for St. James at 24.70 mills.
