Summary
The townships planned another evaluation and possible spraying season for Phragmites, refined agreements for the Internet towers, and prepared to spend a $15,000 engineering grant on the Whiskey Point Light. St. James supported the Historical Society’s plan to raise funds for a Print Shop Museum addition and continued negotiations with Wolverine Power over the former power-plant site for Arranmore Park. Jim White was appointed Harbormaster, and the townships discussed the need to address a temporary shortage of Island paramedics and possible EMS funding through millage.
