Summary

The June 20, 1941 Charlevoix County Herald announced that Beaver Island would host the County Agents Summer Conference for the second time on Monday and Tuesday, June 23–24. About 60 extension workers and their wives were expected; the announced program included an island tour and a party at the St. James Town Hall.¹

The announcement names R. J. Baldwin, extension director; C. V. Ballard, county agent leader; Roy Decker, assistant agent leader; and specialist members of the extension staff. It identifies the King Strang Hotel as conference headquarters.
