Summary

On April 10, 2024, the St. James Township Board authorized its supervisor to sign an Independent Contracting Agreement with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB). The approved minutes describe a proposed $32,000 payment to the Township for management of a Terrestrial Invasive Species (TIS) Program from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

Evidence and limits

This entry records Board authorization to sign, and the terms summarized in the minutes. It is not evidence that the agreement was executed, that payment was made, that a coordinator was hired, or that any survey, treatment, or other program work occurred. The later Joint TIS Advisory Committee is linked as a related, separate township arrangement; this authorization does not establish that the contract and Committee were the same program or governing body.

They do not establish execution, payment, hiring, field work, treatment, results, or environmental outcome.
