Summary
A special meeting of Beaver Island citizens elected a seven-member committee to study Charlevoix County zoning proposals and recommend changes suited to island conditions, according to the February 1972 Beaver Beacon. Jewell Gillespie served as chair; the other named members were Edward Wojan, Father Donahue, Lawrence McDonough, Bernard (Bill) Wagner, Eileen Martin, and Donald Cole.
