Evidence and limits

This record and Archie Lafreniere document the same man: both give matching 1912–1996 dates and the same wife, Frances Bernell Connaghan LaFreniere. The recurring Archie/Frances family notices and the fuller “D. Archie” form used in 1970–72 bridge this record to the cemetery’s Daniel Archie LaFreniere entry, which supplies only birth and death years, not a civil record. The pig contest itself is reported as humor copy — a “fairy tale” feature contrasting two households’ pigs — and gives no verifiable weight beyond what each side claimed.
