Jim Wogan is named as one of the two people who pulled eight-year-old Timmy Turner from Saint James Harbor in the August–September 1971 Beaver Beacon.
Evidence and limits
The record is limited to this rescue episode. The source does not give a full name, age or address. His fellow rescuer, Ron Wogan, is a probable episode duplicate of Ronald Wojan, son of Walter A. Wojan; a “Jim Wojan” of the same period appears as a schoolboy from 1962 through 1971 snowmobile races and as the Beaver Island Flying Club treasurer that same year (James L. Wojan), and a James L. Wojan explicitly named “son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Wojan” married in 1974 (James L. Wojan). No held source states that this Jim Wogan is any of them; the connection is circumstantial only.
