Summary

The November 1963 Beaver Beacon reprinted an account of the first airplane mail service to Beaver Island in April 1926. Joe Donnelan and Alvin Yeider flew from Chicago through a blizzard-delayed route, reached Charlevoix, and then carried 400 pounds of mail to the island with Capt. John McCann as guide.
